Female Role Models - Top 5 #3

I love Aaliyah!! Everyone should know this by now.  I've been obsessed since I was .........idk how old I was but it was from the second she came out.  Everyone would cut me out the magazine articles for me, buy me her cd's, posters.  No one had to ask what I wanted for the holidays ...if you got me something Aaliyah I was happy.  Everything about her made me happy...her aura, her style, her music, her voice, her dancing, her presence, her LIFE!!!

It breaks my heart to know she's gone.  But we'll always have videos and songs and movies!!! Miss you baby girl.

Read all I've written about Aaliyah...

Female Role Models - Top 5 #2

So also.........when I grow up I want to be

OPRAH WINFREY

Do I even need to explain why?  No but I'll mention a couple of points.

Oprah is a truly blessed woman.  She went with her inner voice and what she later noted as the Lord speaking to her and it lead her to success.  I don't want to be as famous as Oprah (as rich ...that would be nice) but I would like to live out my life's purpose like Oprah.  Even if i realize that purpose is to be an amazing mother then I'll do that with everything I have.  Then i'll know not to worry so much about this career thing. lol

But also, Oprah shows me the importance of giving back.  I see my friends doing excellent things to give back and all that inspires me even more.  I want to be the philanthropist Oprah has worked so hard to be.

The way Oprah lives her life is a testament to living a purpose driven life.  Do you know your purpose?

Female Role Models - Top 5

So over the past week, I've been seeing people making lists of women who inspire them.  Well I decided to join the lot of them!! So today, I'm going to let everyone know that when I "grow up" I want to be *ahem*

JADA PINKETT SMITH

Firstly, she birthed my mini role model (Willow Smith ..she will get her own post).  She's a strong, dynamic, african american woman happily married to an african american man!!  I love it!!  I love everything about Jada from A Different World to her current position as SUPERWOMAN of all things.  And lest we not forget how close she was to my love Tupac!!! #swoon

Here are more pics from her recent cover spread in Uptown Magazine.

This just in from Will Smith:
