So Today.........

I was going about my business in the grocery store in Hyattsville. I was walking around and chatting it up with my grandma. I've gotten all my things and I get in line. For some reason I look behind me and I see a guy walking by. He looks very very familiar. And it dawns on me....it's Sgt. Doakes from "Dexter"....one of my favorite shows....i blogged at it a lil while ago. So I'm like OMG was that him....*thinking why is he here....and that has to be him...those cheekbones*. So I get off the phone with my granny....and i call one Aminata T. She answers and I say "Omg AT I just saw Sgt Doakes" At this point she screaming asking me where I am. I tell her the grocery store. She tells me to immediately get out of line and go find him...and say something...at this point she is screaming crazily. So i calm her down and she convinces me to get out of line.

I find him and she's screaming...i get her to hush. I walk up to him and say "Excuse me...are you and actor" he smiles and says yes then i ask "were you on Dexter" he says yes!! *OFFICIAL SCORE* So i tell him how i love the show blah blah blah...he's a good actor blah blah blah...then chatting it up.....i decide to be gracious and say ..."omg my friend is on the phone and she wants to say hi" he said ok and asked what her name was...so Aminata T. gets to talk to him....they had a nice little conversation.

After that he gave me my phone back...asked my name and gave me a hug.

Needless to say...we were pretty excited. I decided not to ask for a pic since i had already interrupted his shopping and he had talked to AT. lol.
However, he was really nice. Alot of ppl I know watch Dexter and were excited (Whitney D., Jen M, T.Nicole T. etc). I know I was...it was a pretty cool celeb encounter.

So...If I've talked to you about my obsession in the last month or so, you know that I'm obsessed with the Showtime Series 'Dexter'. My homegirl got me hooked and I really cannot get enough. The show is about a Serial Killer, Dexter, who has a strict moral code regarding his killings. He only kills "bad guys" as in other murderers who have gotten away or are planning to kill again if they have never been found out. He's kind of a vigilante. So I bought all three seasons and watched them. I stayed up to 5 or 6am some nights just to keep watching. I even have several of my friends obsessed with "Dex".

Well when I was about to write this, I started searching for the pics that I have in here and remembered that "Dexter" was inspired by a novel "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" which Season 1 of "Dexter" is based upon. There are three more novels (the 4th just came out in early August and is on back order on Amazon). Well now, I think I'm going to be obsessed with the books as they are not the same as the show. Gosh...Dexter is just taking over my life. lol I kid...but it's a damn good show and I'm sure the novels are supreme also.
